The Donkervoort JD70 sprints out of the corner at twice the acceleration due to gravity (2 G).
The JD70 is powered by a 415 hp version of the Audi TT RS 2.5 liter five-cylinder turbo engine. Instead of 700, the JD70 weighs 694 kilograms in the road version.
The Dutchman accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 7.7 seconds. It stops at 280 km/h. The JD70 is the world's first production vehicle with 2 G acceleration in corners.
Specially developed dyes
Denis Donkervoort, Managing Director Donkervoort Automobielen: "The carbon fabric remains the same. We achieve the look of the color in the fiber with specially developed dyes that we mix into the clearcoat. We can also match the carbon parts in the interior to the exterior body."
Shortened exhaust saves weight
The exhaust with a new catalytic converter system exits laterally in front of the rear wheels. This saves weight thanks to shorter pipe lengths. It is also tuned to bring an even more emotional engine sound to the car.
The JD70 has a finely graduated five-speed manual transmission linked to a specially developed limited-slip differential on the rear axle.
Carbon fiber kevlar fender
The body of the JD70 is made of a carbon fiber Kevlar fabric, and the fenders are also made of this material.
The entire front design is completely redesigned compared to the GTO-40. All parts with vents are hexagonally shaped and made of 3D-printed carbon fiber.
Donkervoort has already delivered several cars with the BNCE body Kenner. Prices and equipment variants are available on request.
