70 of the JD70 were built - one car for every year of Joop Donkervoort's life.

The Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70 has proven in tests that it can withstand forces of more than 2G in corners with standard road tires. By using a 415 hp version of the 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo engine from Audi with a torque of 520 Nm, Donkervoort has combined the JD70's potential in curves with speed on straight stretches.

From zero to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds
The JD70 weighs less than 700 kilograms, with the lightest road-legal configurations weighing just 680 kilograms. The JD70 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, with a longitudinal acceleration of 1.02G.

On the way to its top speed of 280 km/h, it reaches a speed of 200 km/h from a standing start after 7.7 seconds.

First Donkervoort with power steering
For the first time in the company's history, a Donkervoort is available with power steering. This option is adjustable thanks to a lightweight electric system. This makes driving less strenuous, but retains the traditional steering feel of a Donkervoort.

For the slopes and public roads
The JD70 is powered by an optimized endurance race version of a powerful 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo engine. The car is not intended exclusively for the racetrack, but rather for use on both public roads and closed-off tracks.

D8 GTOInternational Engine of the Year as a drive
The engine delivers its maximum torque from just 1750 rpm. It maintains this up to 6350 rpm - a speed at which most cars achieve their peak performance.

The 2480 cc engine was voted best in its class (2.0 to 2.5 liters) ten times in a row in the International Engine of the Year awards. The unit develops 15 hp more in the JD70 than in the current Audi RS 3 and TT RS.

Relocation of the exhaust creates space
By moving the exhaust to the side of the vehicle, a lot of space has been created at the rear to improve the downforce in particular. A new rear diffuser provides 80 kilograms of downward pressure, while the redesigned nose and the slats in the cycle wings add another 50 kilograms at the front.

Carbon and Kevlar bodywork
The body is made from a carbon and Kevlar fabric and can be supplied in color or with a visible carbon look. In the latter case, the body is given a clear coat of paint, with a matt and a glossy version to choose from.

Doors are made from one piece
The body of the D8 GTO-JD70 consists of more than 95 percent carbon fiber. The Ex-Core technology from Donkervoort Automobielen is used to a large extent for this. This technology was used, for example, for the one-piece doors.

Although the technology has been developed for use in the automotive industry, there is already interest from the world of cycling, yacht builders and aircraft developers.

Less weight for the fittings
Weight has also been saved in other areas. For example, the lithium-ion battery weighs seven kilograms less than a conventional battery.

The redesigned seats are also made of carbon fiber. The quick-release steering wheel is now multifunctional, saving weight on buttons on the carbon dashboard.

Driving pleasure with the community
Unlike modern vehicles from traditional or better-known sports car manufacturers, the JD70 dispenses with electronic aids wherever possible. In a Donkervoort, everything revolves around purity, driver involvement and the challenge for the driver.

As with every other Donkervoort, buyers of a JD70 automatically belong to the Donkervoort family. The community agenda offers track days, driving training, tours and trips.

Prices for the D8 GTO-JD70 start at €163,636.36 (plus tax).
