And the Sandero has topped the list of best-selling vehicle models to private customers in Europe for several years now - with opportunities to continue this success with the new edition.
Sufficient space for four large people
The first impression after a brief acquaintance shows hard materials inside. The buttons for the power windows are placed on the center console and there is only one windshield wiper.
There are two seats in the rear that can be folded down in one piece. For a car that is only 3.71 meters long, the space in the front and also in the rear is sufficient.
With its 27-kWh battery, the Spring offers a range of 230 kilometers. That is sufficient for a second car. Charging is fast because of the small battery: It only takes 4.5 hours on a 7.4-kW wallbox.
Smooth steering and small turning circle
With 33 kW (44 hp), the car hums along briskly. In the range up to 50 km/h, the car seems quite lively. The smooth steering, the small turning circle and the good visibility also make driving through the city an easy exercise.
The Spring may not be as maneuverable as a Renault Zoe or a Twingo Electric, but it's a lot more fun to drive and, most importantly, it's a lot less expensive. From that perspective, the Spring is an excellent second car.
Three versions for the sales launch for Switzerland
- for all customer groups: The Dacia Spring can be pre-ordered from April 22. The first deliveries will take place in fall 2021.
- for business customers: The Dacia Spring Business will be available for car-sharing services, rentals and fleets from the beginning of 2022.
- for delivery companies: as Dacia Spring Cargo without rear bench seat, on offer from the beginning of 2022 for fine distribution of goods over the last kilometer.
