With a wide range of drive concepts, the Leon has now become even more efficient.

Available as a five-door sedan and a spacious sports tourer, the facelifted Cupra Leon is now even more dynamic than its predecessor.

Bucket seats and an adaptive sports suspension
The sporty equipment of the new models includes optional bucket seats, the DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) adaptive sports suspension, the Brembo braking system and 19-inch alloy wheels in copper or diamond. Also included in the high standard are features such as keyless access, the fully digital cockpit with 3-zone climate control and ambient lighting.

On request, there is 310 hp and all-wheel drive
With a wide range of drive concepts, the Leon is now not only even more powerful, but also more efficient.

The engine range consists of 2-liter TSI gasoline engines with 245 and 300 hp, the Sportstourer is even available exclusively with 310 hp and 4Drive all-wheel drive. All variants are equipped with dual-clutch transmissions, which can be operated either automatically or with large shift paddles on the steering wheel. The new Leon five-door measures 4.40 meters in length, the Sportstourer 4.66 meters.

From standstill to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds
For the first time, Cupra is also offering the Leon with a high-performance plug-in hybrid system, which is available in the e-Hybrid models for both the five-door and the Sport Tourer.

The system combines a 150-hp 1.4-liter TSI with an 85 kW (115 hp) electric motor. Cupra states 245 hp (180 kW) as the system output. This enables the e-hybrid to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 225 km/h.

The lithium-ion battery with its capacity of 13 kWh enables an electric range of up to 68 kilometers. In hybrid mode, the driver determines the use of the electric drive himself. The charge level can also be held so that sufficient energy is available later for driving through the city center. The battery can be recharged at the wallbox in around 3.5 hours.

Leon
The razor-sharp body lines are typical of the new Cupra Leon.

Sport view shows speed and torque
The large 10-inch infotainment system simplifies operation and shifts several controls to the touchscreen. The driver always gets all the important info from analog instruments and full-color displays. In addition, there is a sport view to display information such as engine speed, torque, power, boost pressure and G-forces.

The Leon Sportstourer is available immediately at prices starting at 47,500 Swiss francs, while the five-door model costing 45,500 Swiss francs will have to wait until December.
