A four-cylinder turbo engine with 170 kW (231 hp) is under the hood for driving pleasure, and traction is provided by the standard all-wheel drive. Equipped in this way, the sprint to 100 km/h should be completed in 6.5 s, and the maximum speed is 234 km/h. Furthermore, a sports suspension with Brembo sports brake system as well as 18″ alloy wheels can be noted. An aerodynamics kit with extra-large front air intakes and a model-specific interior with John Cooper Works sports seats is standard. Furthermore, LED headlights, various driving modes and comfort access are standard features. An 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission can be ordered as an option instead of the 6-speed manual transmission. As with the basic model, the proportions have grown significantly compared with the predecessor. In length by 20 cm, in width by 3 cm and in wheelbase by 7.5 cm. The manufacturer thus promises five fully-fledged seats and a luggage compartment that can be expanded from 450 to up to 1390 liters. Numerous modern assistance systems such as collision warning with city braking function, camera-based active cruise control, high beam assistant or traffic sign recognition are also on board. Depending on requirements, the new model can be configured into a personal one-off thanks to the familiar extensive configuration options and long list of options. The market launch will start in spring 2017.
