Citroƫn based its design on the CXperience concept car, which was shown back in 2016.

The creative department based its design on the CXperience concept car, which was already shown at the Paris Motor Show in 2016. The C5 X measures 4.80 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 2.78 meters, which suggests a spacious interior that will particularly benefit those sitting in the back.

C5 X
Prices for the C5 X have not yet been set. Citroƫn has set the order start date for September.

Electric range of up to 50 kilometers
In terms of drive options, however, the brand's developers limited themselves to a duo, removing the diesel from the range and sending the C5 X onto the road with a turbocharged 1.6-liter petrol engine or a plug-in hybrid with 225 hp (166 kW) system output.

The company promises an electric range of more than 50 kilometers and an electric top speed of 135 km/h. However, the competitor models are already much further ahead. The performance data of the drives without electric assistance have not yet been determined.

19-inch wheels and Advanced Comfort suspension
The new top-of-the-range Citroƫn model rolls on 19-inch wheels in most variants and comes to customers with the enhanced Advanced Comfort suspension. The developers have given the C5 X the corresponding Advanced Comfort seats to match.

In the plug-in version, passengers are additionally protected from the bumps in the road by an active suspension system. There is a choice of Normal, Sport and Comfort settings.

Highway Driver Assist with cruise control
A large head-up display projects the most important information into the driver's field of vision, and a new infotainment interface provides access to the digital world.

Highway Driver Assist is combined with active cruise control including Stop and Go and takes the C5 X to the second level of semi-autonomous driving. The vehicle independently regulates its speed, monitors the road and keeps in lane.
