For more than ten years, the Caterham Seven 485 has been the champion throughout Europe for people in search of automotive thrills. Not only is it the most powerful Seven, it also has the most powerful naturally aspirated engine currently available as standard. Since its launch, the 485 has been constantly adapted and perfected. There have been numerous reinterpretations, from the innovative CSR chassis to updated performance levels and a range of new options. All measures were always aimed at perfecting the driving experience.
Now as Final Edition
The final series of 85 Final Edition models for Europe marks the end of the 485's history. These final models feature a selection of paint finishes never before seen on a production model of the Seven. Five specially selected paint finishes, paired with satin black Final Edition graphics and lettering, are available on all cars. In addition to the upgraded interior, each car will feature an identification number badge on the dashboard.
With Ford engines
Both model variants are equipped with the 2-liter Duratec engine from Ford. This delivers a maximum torque of 205 Nm at 6300 rpm and a maximum output of 228 hp at 8500 rpm. With a vehicle weight of only 560 to 605 kilograms, this is enough for an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 224 km/h. The FE version is fitted with 13-inch alloy wheels, the CSR FE version with 15-inch alloy wheels.
