For the 36th time, the Festival Automobile International ennobled cars of different categories from the point of view of aesthetics. The jury of experts, consisting of 14 jurors, selected a winner in each of 15 categories.
Changes and ecological requirements
The festival has set itself the task of bringing to the fore all those women and men who, with their daily work, make the car what it is. They adapt it to social and economic changes as well as ecological requirements. That is why the jury rewards not only the great innovations, but also the bold ideas and talent of the people in the automotive industry.
Car inspires enthusiasts and the president
Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti: "It fills us with pride that the design of the Bolide delighted the jury as much as Bugatti enthusiasts worldwide. The experiment of staging the brute force of our W16 engine in as light and performant a way as possible is like the famous ride on the cannonball."
Fastest and lightest vehicle concept of the brand
In October 2020, Bugatti unveiled the fastest and lightest vehicle concept in the company's recent history. The French manufacturer designed an ultra-light shell around the 8-liter W16 engine with up to 1850 hp.
With a vehicle weight of just 1240 kilograms, the bolide has a power-to-weight ratio of just 0.67 kilograms per horsepower.
