Brabus: Understatement with 900 hp 🎥
WOLF IN THE SHEEP'S HIDE The Brabus 900, derived from the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S, has a particularly powerful heart under the hood. Its 4.5-liter V8 biturbo engine delivers an enormous 900 hp and enables outstanding driving performance.
High-performance cars in the inconspicuous dress of a Mercedes E-Class have repeatedly set milestones in the history of tuner Brabus. With the Brabus Rocket 900 V8 Biturbo, the Bottrop-based company is now opening up a new performance dimension for the current E-Class.
To increase the displacement to 4.5 liters, the engine block was bored to 84 millimeters and fitted with forged pistons. A crankshaft milled from the solid and finely balanced and eight special connecting rods extend the stroke to 100 millimeters.
Just 24 seconds to speed 300
As a result, a maximum output of 900 hp and a maximum torque of 1250 Nm were achieved, although this had to be limited to 1050 Nm in the vehicle to protect the power transmission components.
This catapults the all-wheel-drive sedan from a standstill to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and after 23.9 seconds the 300 km/h mark is already broken. The top speed has been electronically limited to 330 km/h out of consideration for the tires.
Aerodynamics adapted in many parts
To optimize driving stability, the Brabus designers developed aerodynamic parts made of carbon. A front spoiler lip with flaps raised at the sides reduces lift at the front axle at high speeds.
The rear end has also received aerodynamic fine-tuning. There, the discreet spoiler lip on the trunk lid generates additional downforce. The carbon diffuser replaces the standard center section of the rear apron.
Interior equipment only the finest
Exclusive interiors are another Brabus specialty. Under the "Brabus fine leather" label, the finest leather and Alcantara are processed in the company's own upholstery shop to create an interior that fulfills even the most unusual wishes of customers. The choice of colors and upholstery designs is virtually limitless.
