DETAIL CARE BMW is relaunching the X3. The third generation of the SUV has undergone moderate exterior changes, but has been consistently revised in technical terms. BMW X3
The strong emphasis on the front is immediately noticeable in the new BMW X3.

When the third edition of the BMW X3 is launched, it becomes clear once again that success can be both a blessing and a curse for a car manufacturer. The more successful a model is, the more difficult it is for decision-makers to make serious changes and the more predictable generation changes become.

Waiver of striking changes
Because the Bavarians didn't want to offend 1.5 million existing customers from two generations, they refrained from the big style change and only handled the bestseller with kid gloves. But at least BMW has done a better job of emphasizing the character of the X3 and has added more muscle to the S in the sport utility vehicle. Certainly a wise decision.

Harmonious proportions are important
The current BMW X3 is designed to show sovereignty and independence. Harmonious proportions, powerful contours and extreme emphasis on the front and rear view create a whole that matches the brand's style. This impression is seamlessly continued in the newly designed interior, which also meets upscale demands.

Significantly improved noise comfort
The adaptive LED headlights include a low beam and high beam function as well as turn signals in full LED technology. In addition, the equipment includes BMW Selective Beam, cornering light, daytime running light and adaptive bend lighting with variable light control. This ensures optimum illumination of the road and better visibility in the dark. At the rear are sculptural three-dimensional full-LED taillights in a striking, BMW-typical L-shape.

The significantly improved noise comfort makes the interior of the BMW X3 an exclusive quiet zone, even at high speeds. The acoustic glazing audibly reduces wind and other external noise.

Top-of-the-line M40i model with a brawny 265 hp
With its largely unchanged format, the BMW X3 not only looks more athletic, but also loses 55 kg in weight. BMW also promises that it will be much sportier to drive, and crowns the model range with an M model, the M40i with three liters of displacement and 265 hp. There is also the xDrive20d (140 hp) and the xDrive30d (195 hp).
