The new Volvo XC60

Around one million XC60s have been sold worldwide since it was launched nine years ago. Today, it is responsible for almost 30 percent of Volvo's global sales. So you could say: everyone loves the XC60.

The latest generation is full of innovative technologies. The "City Safety" system now includes steering assistance. Together, this and the lane departure warning system for oncoming traffic called "Oncoming Lane Mitigation" help to avoid rear-end collisions. Blind Spot Assist also uses the steering assistance to prevent collisions when changing lanes.

Volvo's semi-autonomous "Pilot Assist" function offers additional driving assistance on roads with clear side markings. It can take over steering, accelerating and braking at speeds of up to 130 km/h. Pilot Assist is available as an option in the new XC60 and is a further step towards autonomous driving.

The new XC60 is equipped with a particularly powerful drive system, the award-winning T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid petrol engine with 407 hp and acceleration from 0 to 100 km in just 5.3 seconds. The new XC60 is also available as a diesel D4 with 190 hp or as a D5 with 235 hp, as well as a petrol T5 with 254 hp. The T6 with its combination of turbo and compressor technology delivers 320 hp with a torque of 400 Nm.

Sensus, Volvo Cars' system for infotainment and connectivity, and the Volvo On Call app have been given a graphical overhaul for greater user-friendliness. As with the 90-series vehicles, a smartphone can be integrated via CarPlay or Android Auto.
