Battista: 1900 hp and 2300 Nm of torque

The design of the Battista suggests power, torque and the driving dynamics program of the bolide.

There will be only 50 Battistas in Europe, 50 in North America and 50 in the Middle East and Asia.

The Battista's development program is reaching a stage in the wind tunnel and on the simulator under the direction of development driver Nick Heidfeld such that Automobili Pininfarina can now confirm that the world's first purely electrically powered super sports car will go into production.

Michael Perschke, CEO Automobili Pininfarina: "We enjoyed the first appearance of the Battista prototype last year, but this year our dreams are coming true. This limited-edition masterpiece will be presented to our customers in a slightly more advanced design."

Extensive tests in wind tunnel and simulator
When deliveries begin late next year, the Battista will be the most powerful vehicle designed and built in Italy to date. Sports car director René Wollmann and Nick Heidfeld optimized power, torque, and the vehicle dynamics program for the Battista to make every drive as breathtaking as the design.

René Wollmann: "The aerodynamic performance of the Battista, which we were able to confirm in the Pininfarina wind tunnel, matched our modeling expectations almost exactly. From fine-tuning the aero package in the wind tunnel and dynamic simulation, a significant increase in the Battista's range can be determined compared to our original assumption of 450 kilometers on one battery charge."

Perfect minimization of air resistance
Nick Heidfeld used the wealth of experience built up over two decades of motorsport and the development of successful vehicles in Formula 1 and Formula E to focus in the simulator on assessing and defining the driving experience that results from 1900 hp and 2300 Nm of torque. The German, based in Stäfa, worked closely with the engineers at to perfectly tune the aerodynamics to minimize drag and maximize cooling effect.

Nick Heidfeld: "It was an incredible experience to drive an early version of the Battista in the simulator. The preparation, arrangement and execution of the first drives in a car with an unparalleled level of performance was outstanding - comparable to other first drives in the simulator that I have completed in my motorsport career. What impressed me most was the car's superior handling. The sheer acceleration capability is absolutely stunning."

René Wollmann and Nick Heidfeld have brought the all-electric Battista to production maturity.

Hypercar costs around two million francs
The hypercar, which will be available from more than two million Swiss francs, can be ordered through a small network of specialist dealers in luxury cars and hypercars. Potential customers are invited to apply for a Battista via an online service on the company's website.
