Audi: The Q6 e-tron launches with up to 380 kW 🎥
FUTURE Finally, the eagerly awaited Audi electric models Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron are ready for market launch. With a length of 4.77 meters, they fill the gap between the Q4 e-tron and Q8 e-tron.
Audi is launching the Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron on the road this summer as the first production models based on the new PPE e-platform. With a length of 4.77 meters, the new models with the typical Audi SUV design fit in between the Q4 e-tron and Q8 e-tron.
Gernot Döllner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi AG: "The PPE developed together with Porsche shows how we are pooling expertise within the VW Group and thus making electric mobility scalable."
Active digital light signature
The upright front section with the closed Singleframe, the large side air intakes and the high-positioned daytime running lights characterize the appearance of the new model pair. The new lighting technology is fundamental to the appearance of the Q6 e-tron. At the front is the active digital light signature with twelve segments that dim up and down. At the rear, the many OLED segments are used to introduce new functions - for example to warn following road users of breakdowns.
Optimized power supply
Two motors - an asynchronous motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous motor at the rear - and a 95-kWh battery pack weighing 570 kilograms ensure ranges of up to 625 kilometers and impressive performance. While the Q6 e-tron offers 285 kW (388 hp) and the SQ 6 e-tron even 380 kW (517 hp) and uses all four wheels for drive, models with rear-wheel drive only will be added to the range in certain markets at a later date. The total torque for both axles is 855 Nm.
Advanced recuperation
800-volt technology and the standard maximum charging power of 270 kW ensure short charging stops. Energy for 255 kilometers can be recharged in ten minutes, and charging from 10 to 80 percent state of charge takes 21 minutes. These good values were also made possible thanks to the new thermal management system. Thanks to further developed recuperation, around 95 percent of the braking processes that occur in everyday driving can be carried out without the service brake, according to the manufacturer. The Q6 e-tron recuperates up to 220 kW.
Generous space conditions
The large wheelbase of 2.90 meters not only results in harmonious body proportions, but also generous space inside. The trunk volume can be varied between 526 and 1529 liters - depending on the position of the 40:20:40 split rear seat backrest. The frunk in the front holds a further 64 liters.
Based on the new electronics architecture, the Q6 and SQ6 e-tron will have a fully networked digital interior.
To the right of the large, curved panoramic display with OLED technology is a small screen that can only be seen by the front passenger. The new infotainment system uses the Android Automotive operating system for the first time. Content is updated via over-the-air updates so that the Audi Connect services and the route planner are always up to date.
Deliveries of the new models will begin in the summer and the cars will be available to order from March 27 - at prices starting at 85,900 Swiss francs (Q6 e-tron 55) and 101,300 Swiss francs (SQ6 e-tron).
