A1
Despite its completely new body, the second-generation A1 Sportback is easily identifiable as an Audi.

Audi launched the A1 in 2010 and gave it a facelift in 2015. Now the small car is being completely redesigned, like its siblings Seat Ibiza and VW Polo, based on the MQB-A0 modular transverse matrix. The new A1 Sportback now measures 4.03 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 2.56 meters. As a result, it not only offers more interior space, but also looks more grown-up externally. In addition, it is only available as a five-door model, which is a further plus in terms of comfort for rear-seat passengers. The luggage compartment has grown by 65 liters and has a volume of 335 to 1090 liters.
The A1, which is available in three equipment lines, is also prepared for the networked future. Even in the basic version, the multifunction steering wheel and digital instrument cluster with 10.25-inch display are standard. The voice control of the new generation also understands phrases of everyday speech, and Apple Carplay and Android certainly ensure smartphone connectivity.

Only gasoline engines still on offer
Four gasoline engines are available to power the front wheels. The three-cylinder A1 25 TFSI and 30 TFSI models are powered by a 1-liter turbo engine with 95 and 116 hp respectively, the A1 35 TFSI by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 150 hp, and the A1 40 TFSI by a 200-hp two-liter.
The new A1 Sportback will hit the streets at the end of November - but initially only the 30 TFSI version will be available for 27,600 Swiss francs. The other engines will follow later. The price for the entry-level 25 TFSI model is expected to be less than 25,000 Swiss francs.
