The Owl reaches 100 km/h in less than two seconds. A remarkable performance.
According to the manufacturer, the purely electrically powered Aspark Owl (meaning owl) produces 2012 hp and is said to reach a top speed of 400 km/h. While it takes less than two seconds to reach 100 km/h, 300 km/h is stopped after eleven seconds.
Sprint to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds
By comparison, a Bugatti Chiron with 1500 hp sprints to a hundred in 2.4 seconds. That makes the W16 racer slower, but easier to get hold of. While there are only supposed to be 50 examples of the Owl (it is built in Turin), there are ten times as many of the Chiron.
Lowest hypercar with road approval
With a height of just 99 centimeters, the Aspark Owl is the lowest street-legal hypercar, according to the manufacturer. According to Aspark, the Owl has the most powerful electric motors ever built.
Those who want to go to such extremes can reserve a car by paying 50,000 euros; the final price is 2.9 million euros. The first vehicles are to be delivered soon.
