For Alfa Romeo, the Giulia is not just a resounding name with tradition, it is the brand's real beacon of hope. That's why every effort has been made to put the driver right in the center with rear-wheel drive, low vehicle weight, lively engines and ideal weight distribution.
Alfa undoubtedly achieves this with the top model, the Quadrifoglio, which can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds with a 510 hp V6 and reach speeds of over 300 km/h. The new Giulia is a very dynamic and curvaceous car. The car is neatly balanced, appears extremely dynamic and willing to take corners, and can fulfill all the expectations placed in the new Giulia. But the less powerful Giulias also have these sporty genes. Steering and handling are hardly less dynamic than on the Quadrifoglio and the cars appear highly agile. This was only recently seen again in the exclusive Alfa 8C and 4C supercars.
The only complaint about the interior is the somewhat narrow door cutouts in the rear, but otherwise the four-door model is pleasing. In addition to the Quadrifoglio with a 2.9-liter V6, the Giulia is also available with a 2.2-liter diesel (150 and 180 hp), with a choice of 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic. A 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (200 hp) will follow shortly, and at the end of the year Alfa will also bring an AWD version with one gasoline and one diesel engine. Prices start at 41,550 francs for the manual diesel and end at 87,000 francs for the Quadrifoglio with manual transmission for the time being.
