Aiways: U6ion SUV coupe celebrates Swiss premiere 🎥
WHERE TO MEET The U6ion concept car from Aiways is on tour in Europe. It will also be making a stop at Auto Basel for a Swiss premiere. The car gives a foretaste of the Chinese company's second electric model.
After starting in Belgium, the tour of the Aiways U6ion took it through several European countries and all the way to Switzerland. From September 2, the concept car will be on display at Auto Basel.
The SUV coupé shows a preview of the next model from Aiways, which may be shown in series production as early as November at Auto Zürich.
Sporty style roofline
The big brother of the U6ion, the all-electric SUV U5, will be available in Switzerland from January 2022. The two vehicles share the MAS (More Adaptable Structure) platform.
The U6ion crossover coupe is characterized above all by sporty lines. The fastback-style roofline features a dome-shaped glass surface that ends in a sharp-edged C-pillar. At the rear of the vehicle is a two-tone curved spoiler that further emphasizes the sleek design.
Interior with cheerful colors
The sporty impression created by the exterior is underlined by the striking colors and interesting details in the interior. The driver sits behind a square multifunction sports steering wheel, and behind it is a 7-inch instrument cluster that provides all the important driving and system information.
A 14.6-inch touchscreen is available for vehicle settings and controlling the multimedia system. On top of the dashboard is a small robot - a human-machine interface with modern voice recognition.
Special trays for drones
A number of original storage spaces make it clear for which target audience the U6ion was created. Special storage compartments for drones and remote controls are located in the center of the rear bench seat. A compartment has been installed in the trunk for quick use of an electric scooter. In addition, there are many practical assistance systems.
