Aiways: Final vote for the U6 🎥
IT MUST ALL STAY TUNED With little camouflage, prototypes of the Aiways U6 have entered the final phase of testing before market launch. Now, final tests are being run.
The Aiways U6 is currently on final acceptance runs on European roads. Eight SUV coupés reeled off 400,000 test kilometers in 240 days in the final endurance run.
The results of the European development partners Bosch and Prodrive, among others, are now being recorded on the German autobahn.
From virtual space to the street
This endurance run is a challenging task for a development engineer on the way to launching a new model on the market. In the final phase of testing, not only does a lot of data from a wide variety of sensors come together, but the test run also ensures alignment with digital development in virtual space.
The prototypes were in operation at the Yancheng Zhongqi Research Automobile Proving Ground for a good eight months. Even more test kilometers were covered in virtual reality, as this was the only way to ensure the high development speed.
Aiways combines the virtual development environment and the further development of processes and simulation methods under the name AI-Tech.
High speed on the highway
Barely disguised prototypes of the new pure electric car have now arrived in Munich and are undergoing final tests, including high speeds on the autobahn. With the higher acceleration capacity of the Aiways U6, there are also significantly higher requirements for the braking system.
The second-generation i-Booster developed together with Bosch ensures three times faster reactions, maximum energy recovery and short braking distances.
