Aiways: The SUV U5 comes to Switzerland
MADE IN CHINA Bergé Auto becomes the sales company for Aiways in Switzerland. The Chinese manufacturer provides a real surprise at the Auto Zürich Car Show with the pre-launch event of the SUV U5.

Aiways was founded in 2017 by Chinese entrepreneurs Samuel Fu and Gary Gu as a startup with the ambition to solve the mobility problems of the future and to help shape further developments in the automotive industry. Now the brand is presenting itself at Auto Zürich from November 4 to 7.
Annual capacity of more than 300,000 vehicles
Bergé Auto will handle import and distribution activities through its subsidiary Alcomotive, which is a joint venture between Bergé Auto and the Belgian company Alcopa. The global Aiways network consists of an innovative, digitalized plant in Shangrao, China, with an annual capacity of more than 300,000 vehicles; a research and development and design center in Shanghai; battery production in Changshu; and European representation in Munich.
Emission-free range of up to 400 kilometers
During Auto Zürich, Bergé Auto will present the U5 SUV to the Swiss public. With this model, customers get a fully electric compact SUV with a range of more than 400 kilometers and great space as well as extensive equipment and emission-free 150 kW drive.
Distribution takes place via a wide-ranging dealer network
COO Olivier Sermeus: "We are honored and proud to add Aiways to our brand portfolio. With our distribution experience in Switzerland, we aim to build a wide-spread Aiways dealer network and we are confident that we will successfully establish the brand in the Swiss market."
In 2022, Aiways will launch the U6 coupe SUV, which is also fully battery electric.
