Yamaha: YZ Blue Cru Europe Cup with 395 starters 🎥
CHANCE FOR THE NEW TALENT This year, more participants than ever before have registered for Yamaha's European Moto-Cross Youngsters Cup, which has been popular with young racers since 2015.
As many as 395 young riders from 27 nations - including Australia and Paraguay - will compete in the "YZ Blue Cru Europe Cup" in 21 countries across Europe. The riders will compete throughout the season on the YZ 65, YZ 85 or YZ 125 in their respective national championships, with points counting towards the Europe Cup standings.
The top 40 riders from each of the three classes will then compete at the finals in France on the third weekend of August, which will be held as part of the MXGP World Championship.
Wildcards for the most successful racers
The top three finishers plus two wildcards from each class will receive a place in the "Yamaha Blu Cru" Masterclass, an exclusive two-day event with expert tuition from Yamaha factory MXGP and MX2 riders.
After completing the Masterclass, Yamaha will support a YZ125 rider in the next EM season. The winner of 2021 is 16-year-old Frenchman Adrien Petit, who will compete this year for the JK Racing Yamaha EMX125 Team.
In addition, one rider each from the YZ65 and YZ85 classes can count on support and GYTR parts for the 2023 season, like last year's winners, Bertram Thorius (11) from Denmark and Noe Zumstein (13) from Switzerland.
