Weekend Tip: Lots of loud and quiet action

Spain is the 18th country on the calendar of Formula E, which has been held since 2014/15.
The fifth and sixth races of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season will be held on Saturday and Sunday April at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo near the Spanish metropolis. Since the fourth season, Valencia has been the venue for the official test drives prior to the season opener.
Three Swiss on the hunt for points
The race will be held on a 3376-meter version of the Spanish circuit. After the three Swiss drivers Sébastien Buemi (Nissan), Edoardo Mortara (Venturi-Mercedes) and Nico Müller all scored points in Rome last time out, this is also the minimum goal for them on the familiar circuit.
The free-to-air Swiss sports channel MySports One will broadcast the first race live on Saturday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and the second on Sunday from 2 to 3:15 p.m., as will the German channel SAT1 and the pay-TV channel Eurosport 2.
12-hour race at Le Castellet
The third round of the 24H Series will be held at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet on Saturday. The 12-hour race will be broadcast in full from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the YouTube channel (here the direct link) and the 24H Series homepage.
After their triumph at the Mugello half-marathon on the last weekend in March, the Porsche 911 GT3 R from Herberth Motorsport with Daniel Allemann from Solothurn is once again one of the top favorites.

Autorama wants back on the TCR podium
In the TCR category, Autorama Motorsport by Wolf-Power Racing aims to finish on the podium with at least one of the two VW Golfs, after failing to do so at Mugello for the first time ever in now three seasons.
Yannick Mettler, who has returned from the GT3 to the TCR cockpit, will be the spearhead on both cars. Mettler's teammates in the #1 are the young Norwegian Emil Heyerdahl, the Frenchman Jérôme Ogay and the Austrian Konstantin Kletzer, while on the #112 they are Dubai winner Fabian Danz, who was also absent at Mugello, the German Marlon Menden and the Briton Rhys Lloyd.
WRC premiere in Croatia
Fans of rallying at the highest level will get their money's worth on Servus TV on the Internet or on Sunday on the free TV channel.
The Austrians will broadcast live the final power stage of the third World Championship round in 2021, which will be held in Croatia for the first time. Beforehand, there will be a short summary of the action so far, starting at 1:15 pm.

Good debut for Grosjean in the IndyCar Series
Anyone who buys the additional sports package from their TV provider can experience two of the most popular events in U.S. racing live on Sunday evening.
Motorvision.TV will bring a review of the IndyCar Series opener in Alabama, where Geneva's Romain Grosjean already impressed last weekend with a seventh place in qualifying and tenth in the race, starting at 17:05.
The IndyCar Series offered plenty of action at Alabama Motorsports Park.
Starting at 6 p.m., the St. Petersburg Grand Prix will be broadcast live from Florida. For the Swiss driver flying the French flag, these will be the first races since the fire accident in Bahrain in November 2020.
Those who prefer or also like NASCAR touring cars can watch live coverage of the 500-mile race at Talladega Superspeedway from 7:30 p.m. to midnight on Sport 1+.

Racing in Monaco again at last
Finally, historic motorsport is really coming to life for the first time in the still young racing season. After the Monaco GP Historique, like the modern Grand Prix, fell victim to the pandemic last year, the engines will be roaring again in the Principality from this weekend.
Some of the fields feature well-known Swiss drivers, such as Christian Traber (Talbot Lago), ex-GP driver Jean-Denis Delétraz (Hesketh and ATS), Toni Seiler (Shadow) and Philipp Buhofer (Lotus). Practice and race can be followed on the Internet or pay TV.
