For the first time in the history of the race, which has been held for the 105th time since 1911, a pit stop crew will consist of four women alongside three men from Team Penske.
For Swiss Missile, it will be the sixth start at the Indy 500, the first since 2015. Unlike last year amid the Corona pandemic, the mighty grandstands will once again be open to spectators.

Emil Frey Racing on the hunt for the podium again
For the GT3 teams and drivers, including several from Switzerland, the second endurance race in the GT World Challenge Europe is on the agenda on Sunday. The 1,000-kilometer Paul Ricard race on the GP circuit of the same name at Le Castellet in southern France starts on Saturday evening and ends after six hours at midnight.
For the teams involved in the entire championship, such as Emil Frey Racing, the first sprint race held at night in Magny-Cours already provided valuable insights. In the meantime, the Safenwil-based team has thoroughly checked and evaluated the data in order to successfully fight for podium positions with their three Lamborghini Huracáns, as they did at the first two events.
Emil Frey Racing is currently third in the overall Sprint and Endurance Cup standings, in the separate Endurance Cup and, with Ricardo Feller, in the overall driver standings. Alex Fontana and the Safenwil team are even leading the Silver Cup, which is also hotly contested.
Qualifying sessions and races will be held on the YouTube channel of the GT World Series will be broadcast live in French or English.

For Grégoire Saucy from the Jura, who conceded a double zero in Monaco after three consecutive wins, it's all about defending the lead in the standings. The three other Swiss Léna Bühler, Jasin Ferati and Axel Gnos want to score at least their first points.
Ocean X Prix in Senegal
In Senegal at Lac Rose in the west of Africa, the Ocean X Prix will be held this weekend as the second round of Extreme E. The winner of the premiere at Easter in Saudi Arabia was Nico Rosberg's team with RX pro Johan Kristoffersson and Molly Taylor.
Rosberg will certainly have his former Formula 1 rival Lewis Hamilton breathing down his neck once again, who still lost out in Saudi Arabia and is second with 30 points with his team led by Sebastien Loeb and Cristina Gutierrez.
A lap from the driver's perspective at the Ocean X Prix - again a spectacular and unusual circuit for the uniform electric buggies.
The German Abt team of Mattias Ekström and Claudia Hürtgen is out to make amends. In Saudi Arabia, Hürtgen had caused a stir and a moment of shock with a violent crash.
