Redemption for Ferrari fans?
Even if the first day normally doesn't mean much, the best time set by local hero Charles Leclerc and second place by Carlos Sainz gives all Ferrari fans hope that the Reds can once again fight for victory with defending champion Mercedes and challenger Red Bull Racing after a long dry spell.
As a former GP driver, Marc Surer also knows the crash barrier channel in the Principality very well, so we can look forward to his expert analysis as Michael StÀuble's co-commentator on Swiss television. Boschung narrowly misses first Formula 2 podium

Slight setback for Grégoire Saucy
On the other hand, both Formula Alpine races can be followed live on YouTube: The first one on Saturday morning from 10.10 a.m. under this Linkthe second on Sunday from 11.45 a.m. under this Link.
Championship leader Grégoire Saucy, who won three of the first four races of the season, had to settle for sixth place in his qualifying group on the fifth row of the grid - his winning streak is therefore likely to come to an end. After an accident in free practice through no fault of his own, the Jurassian did not start qualifying with the optimum setup.
The other three Swiss riders Jasin Ferati (25th), Axel Gnos (26th after an accident) and LĂ©na BĂŒhler (27th) will have to make do with starting positions in the back two rows.

Christopher Zöchling, spearheading Fach Auto Tech, hopes to build on his two third places from the German opener at the WEC in Spa.
With the fourth-best time in Friday morning's qualifying session, the Austrian has definitely put himself in a very good starting position. The two newcomers Marius Nakken and Maxime Boulin are 12th and 25th on the grid.
Eurosport and Sky will be broadcasting live on race Sunday from 10:30 am. The race will be repeated on Eurosport 2 at 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Further information and a link to the live timing can be found here here.
24H Series at Hockenheim
The participants in the 24H Series will be competing in Hockenheim for the fourth race of the season. Instead of 16 hours, as in September 2020, it will "only" last twelve, but there will be more than twice as many teams on the grid as at the German premiere last year.
These include some from Switzerland, such as the Start list who also have a chance of finishing on the podium in the overall classification and in the classes.
Swiss TCR duel like in Dubai
The return of 24 Dubai winners Ronny Jost and Fabian Danz in TOPCAR sport's Cupra TCR is worth mentioning. The two-part race - Saturday 1.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 2.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. - will be held on the YouTube channel of the 24H Series and on the Autorama homepage under this Link will be broadcast live. Live timing is available at this link Link.
