Adventurous people - fans of Swiss sports anyway - have long since marked this date in their calendars: On Sunday, June 30, the engines of large and small racing vehicles will roar in the Suhren Valley. The Reitnau National Hillclimb Race counts as the second round of the Swiss Hillclimb Championship.
Four fast Aargauers in the big race cars
More than 200 drivers are entered, including most of the cracks from the national scene. As on June 16 in Hemberg, Eric Berguerand in the Lola-Cosworth and defending champion Marcel Steiner in the LobArt-Mugen will decide the victory among themselves. With Thomas Amweg, Robin Faustini and his father Simon Hugentobler (returning to the Reynard 97D) as well as Daniel Mauerhofer in the Dallara World Series, no less than four Aargauers with other potent three-liter race cars will be in the mix at their home race.
Spectacular show block
The traditional event is more than just a hill climb. Like nowhere else, the short and loud show blocks are part of the good entertainment. For example, Yves Meyer has been showing off his drifting skills in Reitnau for years - since November 2018, the Lucerne native has even been runner-up in the FIA Intercontinental Cup. Also a welcome guest, as in Hemberg, is Hannes Roth with his speeding bathtub with 600-cubic motorcycle engine. And for the first time ever, Loris Rosati, who is very popular in Italy, will be showing spectacular displays with his three-wheeled Ape Proto 95 - let yourself be surprised!
