Although the first interesting participants signed up for the ASS TCR Hill Climb Series initiated by Auto Sport Schweiz in spring 2019, there were still too few to maintain the predicate. Now the Swiss umbrella organization hopes to get enough national and international TCR drivers to participate this season.

Swiss organization
The Swiss sports sovereignty organizes the "ASS TCR Hill Climb Series" together with promoter BZ Consult, as it was already planned in 2019. The company of Brice Zufferey from Valais also takes care of the Swiss Rally Championship Junior and the Clio R3T Alps Trophy.

The championship is an international race series sanctioned by the FIA. The calendar includes the same six events as in 2019, which were then run without a TCR predicate.

These venues were deliberately chosen so that the races take place in Central European countries with an affinity for TCR. Switzerland's contribution is the European Championship round in the Jura, where the TCR front-wheel-drive cars really get up to speed.

Ambitious plans
Interested drivers can register now (until February 28 or April 18) for the complete season or individual events. The number of participants is not limited. The aim is to see up to 20 TCR cars on the grid in this series in three to five years.
