As usual, the current Swiss-Moto offers a concentrated load of action and novelties.
After BMW's participation, uncertainty was felt in the industry. Other exhibitors dropped out. Now, however, it is clear that interesting bikes from other major brands will be on display at Switzerland's largest motorcycle show. This year there will again be an almost complete line-up of new products.
Lots of action and attractions
Of course, there are not only dozens of new motorcycles in Zurich-Oerlikon, but also plenty of action and attractions. The integrated customizing & tuning show Swiss-Custom is also back at the starting line with numerous premieres and creations shortly before the start of spring.
Many exciting naked bikes
Fans of sporty motorcycles in particular have a lot to look forward to. For example, the supercharged Kawasaki Z H2 with 200 hp or the brute new naked bike from Italy, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 with an incredible 208 hp. There will also be many other exciting naked bikes. KTM has redesigned the 1290 Super Duke R and is bringing the eagerly awaited 890 Duke R. Kawasaki relaunched both mid-range nakeds (Z900 and Z650), and even Harley-Davidson is entering the naked segment with the Bronx. The new Honda CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblade - nicknamed the Triple-R - with a mighty 217 hp is sure to generate a lot of interest from the public. Somewhat smaller, though hardly less sporty, is the Aprilia RS 660.
Meeting place for the next generation
A novelty is the "Swiss-Moto Youth". It is intended to be a meeting place for the next generation. The reason for this offer is also the changes in the driving license regulations, which will come into force in 2021. The background: next year, direct entry will be dropped. People over the age of 25 will then no longer be able to take the big license directly. Instead, they will be allowed to ride 125s from the age of 16.
Test drives with entry-level models
Young people can test drive entry-level models from Yamaha, Kawasaki and numerous e-moto suppliers on a special course. Anyone over the age of 13 can take part - without pre-registration. A Yamaha MT-125 will be raffled off among all those who take a test ride. There will also be information on the new driving license regulations, a gaming corner where various racing games can be played, and a wheelie simulator.
Comeback of the streetbike freestylers
Another highlight in 2020 will certainly be the comeback of the Streetbike Freestyle Show. After an absence of ten years, it will once again be part of the trade show. Stunt professional Humberto Ribeiro from Portugal will provide an action-packed spectacle with spectacular actions, burnouts and breakneck acrobatics. The autograph session by Moto2 World Championship rider Tom Lüthi on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Polo Motorrad/Liqui-Moly stand in Hall 1 will be a sporty affair. You can find all the important information for your visit to Swiss-Moto in detail online.
