After four transitional years, there will again be a Suzuki Switzerland one-make cup registered with Auto Sport Schweiz in 2019. To emphasize the new start, it will run under the new name Suzuki Swiss Racing Cup. The Suzuki Grand Prix is history.

Unbeatable power-to-weight ratio and price-performance ratio
The New Swift Sport, which has been available since spring 2018, is used for driving. At 140 hp, it has similarly "little" power to the old Swift Sport with its 1600cc naturally aspirated engine.

With an unladen weight of just 970 kilograms, however, the power-to-weight ratio is significantly better and unrivaled in this price range (new price 23,990 Swiss francs). In any case, owners and test drivers rave about the new model's performance and agility.

Absolutely standard except for the Yokohama semislicks
In order to keep costs as low as possible, the car used for the Suzuki Swiss Racing Cup has to come practically from the store. Except for the fitting of uniform Yokohama semislicks, the 1400cc turbo gasoline engines must be absolutely the same as the series.

What is not expressly allowed is therefore prohibited. Ideal for newcomers without any previous knowledge, attractive for seasoned slalom specialists.

Some specialists have already convinced themselves of the sporting qualities of the New Swift Sport this year. Most recently, the 2018 Swiss slalom runner-up Manuel Santonastaso in Ambri (photo: Peter Wyss).

The best ask to pay
On the one hand, there is absolute equality of opportunity, so that in the end only driving ability decides. On the other hand, Suzuki Switzerland offers generous bonuses and prize money.

No wonder, the interest of the loyal participants with the discontinued model was just as great at the information event as that of potential newcomers and returnees. Names such as Marcel Muzzarelli, Fabio Gubitosi, Jean-Claude Debrunner, Rolf Tremp, Roland Brunner, Jürg Jucker, Dominique Juplé and others, who were among the top in other brand trophies, speak for themselves.

Those who complete at least three of the eight planned slaloms will be compensated with a participation bonus of 300 Swiss francs per event. So no one goes empty-handed. In addition, previous Suzuki drivers will receive a loyalty bonus in the same amount for their loyalty.

The champion receives a prize of 5000 francs at the end of the year. Graduated in steps of 500, 500 francs still await the tenth place overall. In addition, there are tire vouchers from Yokohama for the three overall winners.

Eight SM slaloms and strong series partners
A tight gradation in the points system is intended to maintain the excitement until the end of the season. The provisional calendar includes all eight races that count towards the 2019 Swiss Slalom Championship.

Tire service and on-site organization will be handled by the Yokobo company from Kreuzlingen, headed by former Suzuki pilot Marc Hintermayer.

We show the flag: AutoSprintCH will report in advance and up to date from all races of the Suzuki Swiss Racing Cup 2019.

In addition to Yokobo, the Suzuki Swiss Racing Cup is supported by ECSTAR (Suzuki's own engine oil), MultiLease (leasing partner of the Emil Frey Group) and AutoSprintCH (media partner). So up-to-date coverage after each race is provided.

Motorsport for all - get in and drive away
Prerequisite for participation is the registration for the Suzuki Swiss Racing Cup 2019. Further prerequisites are not necessary.
