Milena Crusi is looking forward to her racing debut in Frauenfeld. Then the crown and ribbon will be swapped for helmet and overalls.

Suzuki Automobile Switzerland wants to use a VIP car at every round of the Suzuki Swiss Racing Cup, if possible. In Interlaken, swinger and brand ambassador Remo Käser took over, in Frauenfeld Miss Yokohama alias Milena Crusi gets behind the wheel. The 20-year-old Zurich native takes turns with AutoSprintCH editor Peter Wyss.

From the trade fair stand to the race track
As all Suzuki Swift Sport cars are running on Yokohama semi-slicks, the Miss is getting to know the qualities of the tire brand in a direct way, which she otherwise represents as an ambassador at fairs, award ceremonies and other events.

Milena Crusi: "On the closing night of the Renault Classic Cup, Peter asked me if I would like to drive a race myself. Since he wants to try out the Suzuki Swift at the limit himself as a media partner, our double start was best suited for time reasons in Frauenfeld."

Just don't come last...
Milena had an interest in fast cars even before she was chosen as Miss Yokohama 2018/19, so she is now looking forward to her first race.

Milena Crusi: "My brother drives a Civic Type R and is already quite envious... I was now allowed to drive the Swift for a few days in everyday life - this car is awesome! So now I'm really excited to see how I get on with it on a closed track."

Due to her complete inexperience, she naturally enters without any expectations.

Milena Crusi: "I just want to have fun. Maybe I will manage not to finish last. But when I hear that in Interlaken only one other rider was even slower than Remo Käser, it will be a challenge for me. But I'm happy to accept it."

Fehr leads, Eggenberger wants revenge
On the start list of Frauenfeld are 38 drivers, of which a total of 18 like Milena Crusi and Peter Wyss take turns at the wheel as double starters. However, for health reasons (back surgery) Thomas Gerber, the eleventh of Interlaken, has to end his racing season already prematurely - we wish a speedy recovery!

After the premiere in Interlaken, winner Sandro Fehr leads the contested championship ahead of Marcel Muzzarelli and Simeon Schneider. Behind them follow Christian Zimmermann and last year's dominator Fabian Eggenberger (with Swift Sport 1600), who still managed fifth place after a gate error in the faster second run with his first running time.

Patrick Flammer returns
An interesting newcomer is Patrick Flammer, who competed in several slaloms in 2018 to test the new Swift Sport for its suitability for racing and contributed to the regulations for 2019. At the Götzis slalom in the Vorarlberg region of Austria, the man from Glarus put in a good performance on Easter Saturday, but lost out to Schneider and Muzzarelli.

No gifts will be given - that will be no different on April 27 and at the races thereafter.
