Due to the uncertain weather conditions, the top teams all put in a clean first race run. Because it remained dry even in the late afternoon, they took the knife between their teeth on the 4100-meter long and fast course of Bière. While Marcel Muzzarelli as the leader improved by more than a second after the first run, Fabian Eggenberger was almost two seconds faster than before.

Nevertheless, Eggenberger was not enough to topple the leader from his throne. Muzzarelli celebrated his second win of the season after Frauenfeld, but this time with a lead of just twelve hundredths. Third place went to Sandro Fehr, 1.5 seconds behind Muzzarelli. The winner of the opening race in Interlaken was able to improve on his second attempt with a more aggressive driving style than Simeon Schneider and thus ousted him from third place on the podium.
Debrunner and Denzer in the top ten for the first time
Despite a goal miss in the second run, Christian Zimmermann placed fifth with his first time, but already four seconds behind the winner.
With 6th place, Jean-Claude Debrunner achieved the first top position after the first two slaloms, which were rather disappointing for him. Gilbert Denzer was surprisingly strong, also making it into the top ten for the first time in eighth place.
The detailed analysis of the third championship round in the Swiss one-make cup with the highest number of participants (38 classified in Bière) will be published on Wednesday.
