The ambassador of the Geneva SX, Ricky Carmichael, will not be content to be a spectator. The most decorated motocross rider from America (148 victories and 15 titles), who also runs a training center, will get on his bike and take part in the 1st Duel Cup in Geneva.
Well-known cracks at the start
Eight pilots will each face their opponent. Josh Hill, like Ricky Carmichael, will take part in this historic duel with direct elimination on his electric motorcycle (AutoSprint.CH reported) as well as competing in the SX2 races; a European premiere!
Pure spectacle
Bad news for the Swiss team: Arnaud Tonus is known to have crashed badly in training and suffered a concussion that prevents his participation this weekend. His place is now taken by Jordi Tixier. The Frenchman finished in 7th place at the Supercross in Paris. The Swiss hopes thus rest on the shoulders of Killian Auberson, Prince of Geneva 2012, and those of Tim Jaunin une Yohan Cortijo.
FMX Show
The FMX show can count this year exclusively on the participation of Levi Sherwood. The New Zealander and Racer of the Year was the first to master the double backflip in a single pass and will exclusively contest the Swiss Supercross in Europe. The organizers have also announced the signing of Genki Watanabe from Japan. Also in Geneva: Switzerland's Mat Rebeaud, France's Brice Izzo as well as Edgar Torronteras, Taka Higashino and Gilles Dejong - without forgetting American rider Vicki Golden. Freestyle fans can look forward to a unique spectacle.
