38 drivers will fight for the titles in the different categories of the Swiss Simracing Series 2020 on Sunday.
For reasons of infection control, the finale on St. Nicholas Day will not take place in front of visitors at the Porsche Center Zurich in Schlieren as originally planned, but will be divided among the four Swiss simracing centers of the RacingFuel Academy in Horgen, Hinwil, Basel and Kerns, naturally in compliance with a strict hygiene concept.
No more home advantage
In the qualifying rounds, there was the option of competing both at the racing centers and from home. In the final, no one can now rely on the cockpit at home.
All finalists, which include some seasoned racers from the real world, compete under the same racing center conditions. The racing takes place on the virtual circuit of Laguna Seca in California.
Uniform Porsche GT3 Cup
The rules ensure even greater equality of opportunity. It prohibits changes to the vehicle set-up of the virtual Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. One free practice session, one qualifying session and one race are scheduled for each category.
The two first-place winners in the Ü40 categories and the fastest lady will also qualify for the final of the Standard category. They thus have the chance to win several titles at once.
Prizes worth a total of more than 15,000 Swiss francs await the winners of the Swiss Simracing Series 2020, including a racing license course and a trackday with a Porsche.
Marcel Fässler and Neel Jani host live broadcast
Interested parties can follow all races of the final live on Game TV and eSports.ch. The broadcast starts at 10.30 am. The final of the standard category from 15.00 will also be televised on the channel Star TV.
The team of presenters includes no less than two Swiss Le Mans overall winners: Porsche works driver Neel Jani and Marcel Fässler.
