Ten years in fast motion: Rowe Racing has been competing in GT races since 2011 with GT cars from Mercedes-AMG, BMW and Porsche and has celebrated a number of successes in the process.
Team Rowe Racing , which has been successful in many endurance races, such as the 24 Hours of Spa and the VLN Nürburgring, sends a second Porsche 911 GT3 R and a unique driver trio to its home race of the GT World Challenge Europe at the Nürburgring.

Timo Bernhard, two-time World Endurance Champion and one of the record winners of the ADAC 24h Race, former DTM driver Jeroen Bleekemolen from the Netherlands and Porsche works driver Simona de Silvestro will compete in the #98 Porsche 911 GT3 R in the Eifel on September 6. The Swiss is thus the first woman to contest a race in a GT3 vehicle for the team from St. Ingbert.
After many successes as a racing driver, Timo Bernhard is concentrating primarily on the role of team boss of his own racing team, for which Simona de Silvestro is competing this year in a Porsche 911 GT3 R in the ADAC GT Masters.
Unique opportunity
However, the unique opportunity to step on the gas once again with "his" driver at "his" Nürburgring has tempted him to climb into the cockpit himself once more at Rowe Racing. The man from the Saarland is therefore looking forward to this special premiere.
Timo Bernhard: "Normally Simona fights for points in the ADAC GT Masters for my own team, KÜS Team75 Bernhard. Now the two of us are competing together for the first time. I hold Simona in very high regard as a racing driver and have of course followed her career steps. With the upcoming race in the Porsche 911 GT3 R from Rowe Racing, I'm not celebrating a comeback, but am simply delighted to have the opportunity to compete together with Simona."
Anticipation of the new adventure
Simona de Silvestro is the first woman to join Porsche's works driver squad in 2019. In addition to assignments in GT racing, she is also a test and development driver in the Zuffenhausen-based Formula E team.
Last week, the Vaudois visited the Rowe Racing team headquarters in St. Ingbert together with Timo Bernhard during the seat fitting. She was also given an exclusive tour of the halls of Rowe Mineralölwerk GmbH in Worms. Here she was able to gain an insight into the work of the lubricant specialists, from the laboratory to the mixing and filling area.
For them, too, the upcoming first joint race appearance with Timo Bernhard in the Rowe Racing Porsche represents something special.
Simona de Silvestro: "I never thought I'd be sharing a cockpit with Timo. Now I can hardly wait for us to contest the six-hour race at the Nürburgring together in the GT World Challenge Europe."
