Predestined for victories in the Trophée Michelin Suisse would be such potent front-wheel-drive cars as the Renault Clio S1600 - but they would not be allowed to roll on foreign makes.

Behind BZ is Brice Zufferey, who already promotes the Junior Rallye-SM and the Clio RT3 Alps Trophy with his company. The Trophée Michelin Suisse is approved as a national racing series by Auto Sport Schweiz (ASS) and reserved for holders of an ASS license.

Only front-wheel drive rally cars from the groups N, A, ISN, ISA, R1, R2, R3 and Super2000 as well as KitCars are admitted. Excluded are the participants of the Junior-SM and the Clio RT3 Alps Trophy.

Only with Michelin tires
The most important condition is that the approved cars roll on Michelin tires. These must be obtained through a BZ-approved dealer or the Michelin racing service and marked before the start of a rally. Eight used tires that are also marked may still be used.

There are two types of registration: For 200 francs a driver receives a vest for himself and his co-driver, for 1200 francs two vests and two FIA-homologated overalls. In addition, two new Michelin tires must be ordered.

2000 francs for a run winner and the champion
The Trophy includes the five rallies Pays du Gier (March 15-16), Critérium Jurassien (April 12-13), Chablais (May 30-June 1), Ticino (September 13-14) and Valais (October 16-19). A separate classification will be made for each rally.

The winning team of a race receives 2000 Swiss francs in prize money, the second-best team 1000 Swiss francs, and the third-best a voucher for three Michelin tires. The fourth to sixth teams each receive two new tires, and the seventh to tenth teams can claim another new tire.

Well endowed Trophée Michelin Suisse: The Michelin Male looks forward to loyal and new clientele.

The four best results count for the annual ranking. Points are distributed per rally according to the scheme 15, 12, 10, 8, etc. for the top 10. The winners of the Swiss Michelin Trophy 2019 will receive a further bonus of 2000 Swiss francs plus trophies. The runners-up can look forward to new overalls, the third place winners to free ASS licenses for 2020.

In the next few weeks, a dedicated homepage will be launched. A special Facebook page has already been set up. Details about the rules and registration forms are available on the homepage of BZ Consult.
