Porsche presents the latest generation of the 911 GT3 R, a new customer sports car. The car is based on the current 992 generation.

Compared with the predecessor model 991-II, it features a larger engine, better aerodynamics and optimized balance. Customer teams will be able to enter the new model in motorsport events under GT3 regulations worldwide from the 2023 season.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 R made its debut at this year's 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

2024 Start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
When development started in 2019, the main focus was on improved drivability for professionals and so-called gentleman riders, as well as even greater power reserves.

Simplified handling of the vehicle for the teams and optimized running costs were also the focus. Following the announcement of the GT3 class in the North American IMSA series, the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC is following suit. From 2024, GT3 sports cars like the new 911 GT3 R will be allowed to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time.

Five-way adjustable racing dampers
The new engine, again a water-cooled six-cylinder naturally aspirated boxer with four-valve technology and direct injection, has a displacement of 4194 cm3, a good five percent larger. It thus has a maximum output of 565 hp.

The modified chassis supports drivability, improves steering response and reduces wear on the rear tires. At the front axle, a double wishbone layout takes over the guidance of the wheels, at the rear axle a multi-link design. The new KW racing dampers can be adjusted in five positions.

Porsche Motorsport is now offering the 911 GT3 R at a price of 511,000 Euro plus country-specific VAT and options.
