For the first time, the championship is organized under the banner of the newly founded Porsche Motorsport Club Suisse (PMCS). The proven concept of the customer sports events, which is based on two pillars, remains largely unchanged.
In the Porsche Sprint Challenge Suisse, drivers from the GT3 Cup, GT4 Clubsport and GT Open classification groups battle for points and trophies. On each of the six race weekends, either two sprint races of around half an hour each or an endurance race are held instead of the second sprint.
Repeated duel
With Alexander Fach and Dominik Fischli, last year's champion and runner-up will once again compete against each other. As in 2020, both are sponsored by the Porsche Motorsport Club Suisse and Porsche Schweiz AG.
While Fach - still 18 years young - wants to defend his title, Fischli, now 26, wants to prevent just that. The title battle will continue to be fought out on 991 II-generation 911 GT3 Cup cars.
Also for beginners
The drivers, ambitious in their own way, are under a completely different pressure to succeed in the Porsche Drivers Competition Suisse (PDC) and the Introduction to Racetrack (ItoR).
The latter, as shown in this Experience report presented in Misano in October 2020, a non-competitive course offering for newcomers to the racetrack under the umbrella of the Porsche Track Experience. As a kind of taster course without involvement in competitive events, they impart the necessary theoretical knowledge and enable initial practical race track experience under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Attractive calendar
From April 22 to 24, i.e. in just over two weeks, a double sprint at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, will kick off the season. In May, the squad travels to the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet in southern France before Imola is on the agenda at the end of June.
The PSCS starts the second half of the season at Hockenheim on the first weekend in September. Three weeks later, the second of three guest appearances in Italy follows at Mugello. The finale at Misano rounds off the calendar at the end of October.
The main race day is always Saturday - this makes the return journey easier for the participants. Only the events at Imola and Hockenheim do not end until Sunday evening.
