Experience versus youthful talent: This theme determined the second weekend of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Suisse (GT3CC) season. Jean-Paul von Burg still kept his 18-year-old challenger Antonio Teixeira under control in the sprint race at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet in the south of France. In the endurance race that followed, the new GT3CC promotional driver, who is supported by Porsche Switzerland and the Association of Swiss Porsche Clubs, struck back to take a commanding victory at the wheel of his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup with around 485 hp.

Short process at the start
The multiple champion from Geneva laid the key to success in the sprint race right at the start. Von Burg snatched the lead from the 18-year-old qualifying winner in the first lap and then crossed the finish line 18.7 seconds ahead. Teixeira suffered a setback after the first third of the race, dropping back to tenth position. A furious race to catch up took the Portuguese, who lives in Bilten, up to second place, but a ten-second penalty for disregarding the track boundary put him back behind Oliver Ditzler, with whom he had shared the front row of the grid.

In the endurance race, the duel of the generations seemed to repeat itself - but now with the signs reversed, as Antonio Teixeira took revenge for the sprint race. Joker tires for his 911 GT3 Cup put him second on the grid behind Jean-Paul von Burg, but he made up for this shortcoming on the third of 28 laps. In the eleventh lap von Burg was able to counterattack once again, but after the obligatory pit stop Teixeira was up and away. He eventually won by almost 35 seconds ahead of Andreas Corradina and the duo Josef Stengel/Joachim Günther. Von Burg finished fourth.

Start of the Cayman Sprint: Linus Diener (223) won from the pole position, while his teammate Amedeo Pampanini dropped back to 4th place by the time he reached the finish and was only ninth when a time penalty was included. Second place went to Laurent Misbach (214).

Fast man on two and four wheels
In the Cayman GT4 Clubsport class, which competes as part of the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse (PSCS), a newcomer continued his dominance. Linus Diener, who comes from motorcycle racing, won both the sprint and endurance races on the 5.842-kilometer GP circuit in his 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.

In the second round of the Porsche Driver's Challenge Suisse (PDC), Robert Schwaller kept the upper hand and set the ten most consistent lap times in this regularity competition.

Around 125 cars experienced a problem-free event in ideal track and weather conditions. The third of six race weekends of the GT3CC and PSCS will be held in Imola, Italy, from July 5 to 7.
