Only the first event at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (A) fell victim to the Corona crisis. All other races can be held almost as planned, albeit under special conditions.
New in the calendar
The season will now start at Hockenheim from July 9 to 11. Some teams and their drivers took the opportunity to test there last week.
The Association of Swiss Porsche Clubs has never had an event at the Baden Motodrom in its calendar. The event will take place as usual from Thursday to Saturday.
Special measures
The first two days are available for free practice and the new "Introduction to Race" program item. The qualifications and the two sprint races will then be held on Saturday.
The organizers will do their best to present a great event despite the special conditions. The hygiene and distance regulations must be kept. A protocol of measures will be prepared and sent to all participants together with the latest instructions.
South of France and Italy
The other Porsche Weekends have also been confirmed. The one in Le Castellet (F) at the Circuit Paul Ricard was moved from June to August (6 to 8).
As originally planned, the Italian events at Imola (August 21-23), Mugello (September 24-26) and Misano (October 15-17), which are very popular mainly because of their southern ambience, will then take place.
