With the race at the World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Misano (I), the 2019 season came to a successful close for the AMAG First Rennsport team at the end of October. As in 2017 and 2018, the team was able to win the Porsche Sports Cup team classification. This is particularly pleasing as, due to a change in the regulations, only the four best results are now counted towards the team classification.

Growth in five years
This represents a great success for the AMAG First racing team, which has only been involved since 2014. In the early days, it started with just two vehicles and a handful of mechanics, but the number has risen steadily. This year, the team around its leader Heinz Schön already consisted of 15 people.

For him, this year's result is confirmation that hard work pays off. But the focus is still on having fun and being passionate about Porsche.

Heinz Schön: "Although every track is different and both driving style and weather conditions play a role, our team was once again able to deliver top performances. It's also important to us that there's a good atmosphere and a sense of community off the track as well."

Help for professionals and amateurs
In 2019, the AMAG First Rennsport team also took part in the Cup Challenge for the first time with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Here, the team was delighted with Dominik Fischli's third place in the overall standings.

Next year, the AMAG First racing team will once again be on hand to assist both professional and amateur racers on the race track at the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse. Be it at the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse, at the Introduction to Racetrack events or at the Ladies on Track event.
