They sealed the extended partnership: FIA President Jean Todt, Pirelli boss Marco Tronchetti Provera and F1 boss Chase Carey.

The agreement was concluded in a short time and continues the successful partnership of recent years. Formula One management FOM and Pirelli agreed on all the measures currently required by the sport.

They reaffirmed their commitment to working together towards the new technical regulations announced for 2021. These include new 18-inch tires, for example.

Chase Carey, CEO Formula 1: "Pirelli has been an important and valued partner of Formula 1 since 2011, a leading company with innovative, state-of-the-art capabilities. Pirelli is a premium brand and a global leader in motorsport. The continuation of our partnership underpins our desire to bring together the best in motorsport and beyond in Formula 1. We are delighted with this agreement, which guarantees a long-term stable future for a very important component of Formula One."

Tires for all three FIA top formulas
The Italian tire company is also the sole supplier to FIA Formula 2 and the new FIA Formula 3, which are the three most important pillars of formula racing. Therefore, the agreement up to and including 20123 is also good news for the Pirelli boss from Italy.

Marco Tronchetti Provera: "This extends our presence to a total of 13 seasons in the modern era. Pirelli was already present at the launch of the World Championship in 1950. Formula 1 remains the pinnacle of motorsport and at the same time the perfect environment for Pirelli, as the company has always considered motorsport as its most advanced research and development laboratory. Formula 1 is also the perfect showcase for our Ultra High Performance tires for the road."
