Pirelli: Offensive in rally sport

Pirelli will equip all four-wheel drive vehicles competing in the championship from 2021. From the WRC category, in which the WRC title is contested, to the WRC2 class with R5 specification, which is also the main category in regional and national championships worldwide.

Important findings for road tires
The successful campaigns underpin Pirelli's leading position in global motorsport. Rallying has always been a perfect open-air laboratory for Pirelli engineers to test new technologies, which are ultimately intended for road use, under the extreme conditions that characterize this sport. Now the products are set to become even better.

Promotion of young talent
At the same time, Pirelli is continuing its commitment to promoting the careers of young drivers. The company continues to equip the Junior WRC and also the Junior ERC3 class in the European Rally Championship."

Long winning streak
Most recently, Pirelli was the sole supplier to the WRC from 2008 to 2010. Since 1973, Pirelli customers have won 25 World Rally Championship titles and 181 WRC victories. Since 2018, the company has been supplying tires for teams in the WRC2 category.
