Two-time DTM champion Timo Scheider (center gallery) will be taking part as a guest starter. Experienced co-driver Tobias Braun will ensure that the current World Rallycross Championship driver is always aware of the upcoming challenges on and off the special stages.
Professionals and celebrities take to the starting line
Another Corsa-e Rally will take on the special stages before the actual field of participants in the ADAC Rally, with alternating co-drivers.
While the two podcasters Max and Jakob ("Best Friends") will take their seats in the 100 kW electric car during the first two special stages on Friday, driver and Opel Motorsport developer Volker Strycek is looking forward to two more illustrious passengers the following day.
Actor Roman Knizka ("Mein Bruder, der Vampir", "Schlaraffenland", "Der Alte") experiences the rally feeling just as closely as model Ashley Amegan, who won the photo shoot with the Opel Mokka in the recently concluded season of "Germany's Next Top Model".
Eight special stages await the teams
The starting signal for the Corsa-e teams will be given on Friday evening at 5.01 pm. A total of eight special stages are on the program, without spectators due to the pandemic.
The Opel e-Rally Cup 2021 consists of seven rounds with the international highlight on the last weekend in August at the Barum Czech Rally Zlín, the Czech round of the European Rally Championship.
