Nürburgring: Day of the Swiss women 🎥

TWO CLASS WINNERS The delayed start to the Nürburgring Endurance Series brought Jasmin Preisig and Frédéric Yerly in the VW Golf TCR victory straight away. The highlights in two and a half minutes show the duel of the two Porsche teams Manthey and Frikadelli for victory and the two Phoenix-Audi for third place.

Only in practice was the otherwise always fast Ferrari 488 GTE Evo from Octane126 on the road. A collision between a BMW and the sports car driven by Jonathan Hirschi from Neuchâtel caused so much damage that the team from Wallisellen had to pack up. So Simon Trummer, like the Germans Luca Ludwig and Björn Grossmann, did not get to drive either.

Successful comeback with new team
The feeling after this year's first four-hour race on the Nordschleife - the first one was cancelled three weeks ago due to snow - was completely different for another Swiss duo.

After great preparation by their Dutch partner Tom Coronel, who has already won in the WTCR, Jasmin Preisig and Frédéric Yerly celebrated victory in the SP3T class with the VW Golf GTI TCR of Max Kurse Racing.

Her teammates, who shone with a new TCR lap record, were narrowly beaten after an internal duel. For Yerly, it was the first race with this team and the first since winning the 2019 VLN title in the TCR class. The Appenzeller already won last year with the German team on the Nordschleife.

Frédéric Yerly: "First race for me with Max Kruse Racing and the first victory after a break of one and a half years, I would never have expected that. But with such a top car and two super stints from my teammates, all I really had to do was bring the car home. Thanks a lot to everyone!"

They are already a perfect match in terms of driving: Jasmin Preisig and Frédéric Yerly.

From IndyCar to GT4 sports car
Simona de Silvestro also had reason to celebrate. To obtain the Nürburgring license for faster cars, the Porsche works driver completed her first compulsory race at the wheel of a performance-restricted Cayman GT4 under "Permit B." A week ago, she took part in the first test drives for the Indy 500.

With German Hermann Welf as her partner, the lady from Vaud came straight to a class win in the Alternative Fuel AT class with the Bioconcept car from Four Motors after the retirement of her only opponent - a Ford Mustang GT.

Fabienne and Hofor also convinced
Finally, Fabienne Wohlwend also more than fulfilled the aptitude test for the Nordschleife. The Liechtenstein driver, who has a Swiss license, finished an excellent fourth in the 18-car V2T class with a BMW 330i.

In the V4 class, which was also well-filled, the BMW 325i entered by Hofor Racing with three Germans drove to second place. Meanwhile, the M240i Racing of Hofor boss Martin Kroll entered by Bonk Motorsport beat the only opponent in the class reserved for these cars.
