Concept Car
In homage to the 240Z from 1971, the Juke's hood and wheels are finished in black.

Coinciding with the start of the Safari Rally, which returned to the World Rally Championship race calendar last weekend for the first time in almost 20 years (victory for Toyota with world champion Sébastien Ogier), Nissan is showing images of the Juke Rally Tribute Concept.

Enlarged wheel arches for special tires
The concept vehicle is based on the Nissan Juke, whose raised roadholding and short overhangs give it particular agility off-road.

Enlarged wheel arches for special off-road tires make for an imposing appearance, and with additional headlights on the hood and roof, the vehicle underscores its claim to be a competitive off-roader.

Memory of the historic triumph
Coralie Musy, Brand & Customer Experience, Nissan Amieo: "With the Juke Rally Tribute Concept, we commemorate the historic triumph of 1971. We are pleased to celebrate the 50th anniversary of winning the East African Safari Rally with these images."

Under the hood of the concept car is an efficient and powerful hybrid drive.

Legendary 240Z sports coupe produces 240 hp
The low-slung, rear-wheel-drive 240Z was powered by a 2.4-liter inline-six engine that produced 210 horsepower.

The 1971 winning car driven by Edgar Herrmann and Hans Schüller was restored in 2013. It is now part of the Nissan Heritage Collection, which is located near Nissan's headquarters in Zama, Japan.
