Nico Müller: Premiere in Brazil
INVITATIONAL RACING Something new more often - this is true of Nico Müller as far as his racing cars are concerned. After the Rallycross World Championship (2017) and Formula E test (in January), next week's schedule for the Audi DTM factory driver also includes a race in the Brazilian stock car. "I drive anything with four wheels" - that's more or less Nico Müller's maxim. And what he drives, the man from Berne moves quickly, see Rallycross World Championship 2017 (first points of a Swiss) and Formula E test drives in January in Morocco (best time of the day).
Next week, the Bernese, who turned 26 on February 25, will have a new experience. Alongside other stars from the DTM and Formula 1 (including Felipe Massa, Rubens Barrichello, Nelson Piquet Jr.), Müller has been invited to the Corrida de Duplas in Interlagos, the opening race of the stock car championship in Brazil. This is similarly popular in South America and has a top field like the DTM in Europe.

Older and uniform Chevrolet V8s with V8 engines producing a good 500 hp will be raced. The race will take place on Saturday, March 10, and will last for one hour with driver changes. The Swiss will take turns at the wheel of the Ipiranga Racing car with Thiago Camilo, last year's runner-up.
Nico Müller: "A cool thing. For me, it will be the very first race in South America. I've been in contact with them before, but it's only come about now. I hope we can pull something off."

First DTM test not until April
Unfortunately, Nico Müller will have to wait for the first laps with the Audi RS5 DTM for the 2018 season in return. Two other of the six Audi factory drivers had been nominated for the development tests this week at Vallelunga (I).
The Bernese himself will not get his chance until the official ITR test at Hockenheim from April 9 to 12. This should not be a disadvantage.
