The 18th Frauenfeld Auto Race Days represent a first highlight in the calendar of the Swiss Automobile Championship in slalom racing. All the big names will be coming to Frauenfeld next weekend to hunt for points on the Grosse Allmend.
On Saturday, April 22, with practice starting at 8:30 a.m., around 200 drivers will compete against each other in the so-called LOC classes. The Opel OPC Challenge will also hold its second championship race on Saturday afternoon. This class includes some of the best slalom drivers ever, who will be battling it out for hundredths of a second in their Opel Corsa OPCs.
In addition, the spectators already present on Saturday will experience a Swiss premiere. Lotus-West AG from St. Gallen is inviting entries for the Lotus V6 Cup Suisse for 2017. This is aimed at all owners of a Lotus Exige V6 or Evora V6. Eight vehicles, including successful drivers such as Dino Wintsch, Norbert and Reto Sieber, are expected at the start of the first race.

Sunday, April 23, is reserved for the "nationals". The race on the 2.7 km long course with 45 gates counts as the second round of the Swiss Slalom Championship. As in Interlaken, a tough fight for the day's victory is expected. After the clear defeat against newcomer Yves Hängärtner in the Tatuus-Honda FM, last year's winner Philip Egli and his permanent opponent Marcel Maurer vow revenge - excitement is guaranteed!
Historic sports and racing cars with drivers such as Fredy Lienhard, Eugen Strähl, Hansmarkus Huber and Erwin Steingruber as well as a horde of autocrossers form an attractive supporting program.
Adrenaline rush during fast cab ride
The race site is easily visible. Spectators can also visit the paddock and the specially equipped pit lane unhindered and seek out conversation with the participants there. Those who are quick enough to make reservations can also secure an adrenaline-pumping cab ride alongside experienced drivers on Porsches or Jasmin Preisig in her Opel Astra TCR.
Of course, the physical well-being will not be neglected. Various catering options are available. Further information can be viewed and downloaded on the ACS Thurgau homepage. In addition, all highlights will be posted on Facebook (www.facebook.com/acsautorenntage).
Spectators should use the Frauenfeld-Ost freeway exit. From there they will be directed to the parking lots and the spectator area.
