Virginie Germond from Geneva, who currently competes on a four-stroke Suzuki RMZ 250 and is training professionally as a kinesiology and hypnotherapy therapist, is increasingly making a name for herself not only on the national stage, but above all on the international stage. She has been competing in the FIM Women's World Championship since 2010 and finished the 2015 season in 8th place.

Start at the world championship race in Frauenfeld
2016 will be an important year for the motocross lady. For the first time in decades, a motocross world championship race will be held in Switzerland. On August 6 and 7, she will be demonstrating her skills in front of a home crowd in Frauenfeld as part of the official MXGP series with all the world stars. Her sponsors now include the helmet brand AIROH. For more than fifteen years, the Italian products have been sought after not only by the average consumer, but also by top athletes on the national and international market. These include Antonio Cairoli (multiple MXGP world champion), Jeffrey Herlings (MX2 world champion), Jeremy van Horebeek, Jordi Tixier (both MXGP) and US Supercross star Marvin Musquin.
