Motorsport: Victories for Jo Zeller and Thomas Zürcher

At the opening round of the Remus Formula Cups, Sandro Zeller took both race wins at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (A). Second podium in the Swiss Formula 3 Cup (from left): Kurt Böhlen (2nd), double winner Sandro Zeller and Marcel Tobler (3rd).

In the first Formula 3 race, Sandro Zeller led from the start in his Dallara F308-Mercedes. In the second race, the driver from Zurich fought a long duel with the Italian Paolo Brajnik. Kurt Böhlen caused a surprise by taking pole position for the second race, but Zeller was already ahead in the first corner. Marcel Tobler fought with the man from Bern for third place before he had to take a drive-through penalty for a jump start and still finished fourth. The races also counted towards the Swiss Formula 3 Cup, in which only Sandro Zeller, Kurt Böhlen and Marcel Tobler took part.

In the Sports Car Challenge, Thomas Amweg continues to get nowhere. This time the Aargauer hardly came to drive because of engine and electronics problems at the PRC Honda. "It's really frustrating, I couldn't show anything yet. Now everything will be replaced, then one day of testing in Hockenheim," he encourages himself. Turi Breitenmoser took his first podium in around two years as overall runner-up in the new PRC with 3.5-liter F1 engine. Simon Stoller claimed a win and second place in the two-liter class in the PRC Honda.

Two victories and top of the table for Thomas Zürcher
In the Renault Clio Classic Cup, there was the same finish in both races: Thomas Zürcher ahead of Denis Wolf and his father Marcel, followed by Giuliano Maschietto, Angelo Figus and Johanna Amann. In Saturday's race Wolf Jr. had led for a long time, on Sunday on a still slightly damp track he held second place despite a 360-degree spin. In the championship, defending champion Zürcher now leads with 86 points just ahead of Denis Wolf with 85 and Marcel Wolf with 83.
