Partner: Team boss Peter Zakowski is delighted with his new Swiss protégé Nikolaj Rogivue.

As briefly reported in AutoSprintCH in April and now officially announced, Nikolaj Rogivue will drive in the ADAC GT Masters in 2016 - and not just anywhere, but with AMG Team Zakspeed. The company from Niederzissen, near the Nürburgring, which was once founded by Erich Zakowski and is now run by his son Peter, is one of the best racing teams in Europe.

Zakspeed is fielding two new AMG-Mercedes GT3s. Nikolai Rogivue drove in Formula 4 in 2014 and contested several races in Formula 3 last year. At the first race weekend in Oschersleben (April 15 to 17), the 19-year-old Swiss driver will take over the wheel from Formula 3 European champion Felix Rosenqvist from Sweden. It has not yet been decided who will share the AMG-Mercedes GT3 with him. In the number 1 car, Germans Sebastian Asch and Luca Ludwig will tackle the title defense. The newcomer can certainly learn a lot from the two champions.
