Rahel Frey and Philip Geipel's second place at the Yaco Team's ADAC GT home race at the Sachsenring was not only met with great joy but also with a certain amount of relief: "I needed these two races after I had ended up in the gravel there last year while leading the first lap. I'm also satisfied with my qualifying results so far. Now things can only get better."
The clear goal is the title of the championship
Her focus is now also on the Audi R8 LMS Cup. This weekend, the Solothurn native will start her third full Asian season in Shanghai. Last year, she was in contention for the title for a long time but then had to settle for fifth place overall after finishing third straight away in 2014. Rahel Frey: "My goal? Quite clearly, to win the race and the championship. Unfortunately, they postponed the race in Thailand to the ADAC GT date at Spielberg."
