Motorsport: Jndia Erbacher ahead of European premiere
From August 19 to 21, the NitrOlympX will take place in Hockenheim. For the first time, Jndia Erbacher, the daughter of the six-time European champion from Arlesheim, will be at the start of the biggest drag racing event in our latitudes. Although their dragster has the same chassis as a top-fuel dragster with which their famous father is aiming for a fourth European Championship title in the premier class, it doesn't quite have the same performance. Nevertheless, its specs are impressive: Powered by a 7-liter V8 producing around 4000 hp, the 22-year-old from Basel will reach a top speed of over 450 km/h on the quarter mile at the Motodrom. The young woman, who until recently was content with one horsepower in her riding, feels well prepared. In the spring of 2015, Jndia completed all the necessary licensing courses and exams at Anthony Dicero's school. Last summer, she competed in a number of races, including in Las Vegas, on the dragster that is available to her in Hockenheim.

Action and attractions at the Baden Motodrom
Thanks to some good sponsors, whose inscriptions she pecked onto her bolides herself in the workshop in Arlesheim (Fat Attack Custom Bikes), the fastest woman in Switzerland can fulfill her dream of starting in front of a home crowd, as many Swiss drag racing fans will be on hand. Her teacher Anthony Dicero, who has also flown in from the USA, will be looking after her on site, as her father is concentrating on the Top Fuel dragsters.
Four Swiss have real chances on the podium
Around 300 drivers will complete a total of several hundred runs from Friday to Sunday. With Bruno Bader, who is in second place in the European Championship, Thomas Stiefel, Richard Bolleter and Marcus Hilt, four Swiss drivers with ambitions for a podium place will be competing in the popular FIA Pro Modifieds (touring cars with over 3000 hp). A special feature of the NitrOlympX is the Night Show on Saturday, when a jet dragster will make the Motodrom shake and light up.
